We just got back from Birkenhead Lake near Pemberton, BC. It was sooo beautiful, and I got some fabulous shots! I've been practicing a lot on my canon, trying to learn more and reading a lot about how to get good photos. Its always good to have a good book or ebook to help you with the basics and help you get great photos. I'm gonna show you some of my favs!

Anyways, he isnt the greatest at being obedient, and i've been trying like crazy to get him to not run away. Lets just say it hasnt been working, he's a bolter, and he's always been a bolter as long as we've had him. He also has a few other very annoying tendencies. So i'm gonna get in shape. You know how it is, time is lacking, and so is the motivation, really, its not fun to go to the gym or anything like that. Today after reading many a good review on Wii Active i went out and bought it. I did my first workout tonight and it was gruelling. I was exhausted, sweating, and my heart was beating like crazy, but it was also fun, which is not something i can say about the gym. I started the 30 day challenge in the game, filled in my first journal entry (it asks you all sorts of questions like how much water did you drink, did you eat fast food, etc) and I did my first challenge.

It took me 30 minutes, on high intensity doing a combination of running on the track, bicep curls, a few other strength ones i cant remember the names of, boxing, and inline skating (which is soooooo hard btw). When i was finished and heading upstairs for a shower my mom commented on how I looked like I was standing up straighter... So score, thats pretty cool for a start. My end stats on the first workout were 470 calories burned and 30 minutes worked.

The journal keeps track of your exercise and gives you a cool medal each day and rates how well your doing. It also has a calendar that tells you when you need to take a day off, etc. It will change up the exercises each day to work different parts of the body. I looked at the original 30 day challenge people that they had do it and some lost even like 25lbs in a month, thats crazy, and i'd love to have even 5 or 10lbs lost.

Here is my public declaration... I AM GOING TO GET FIT AND STICK WITH THIS!

If anyone else has this or uses it, feel free to leave a comment because i'd love to hear your opinions. I'll keep y'all updated on any good progress.

So while i was taking a break from designing I started to work more with actual paper supplies, and i've gotten very into it. For my birthday I got a cuttlebug, and I love the thing to death. Now i can cut circles that actually look like circles!!!! (and no, its not very easy to do them without a nestability die, not like it is in digi, lol). Speaking of Nesties, this lady named Bev (who's blog is one i have on my google reader) who makes fabulous cards is having a blogoversary and giving away some fab stuff including 2 new sets of nesties. Gotta Love the Prairies!

Who loves the prairies? I DO!! and i created this paper pack in colours that remind me of the bright coloured summer prairies, where the crops flower in the morning and shine gold all day. Where the skies are blue and the grasses are so green, where nature seems to be at one with people. I feel soooo calm in the prairies and i love spending time there, and working with the colours familiar throughout the prairies has been such a blast.

Pictures from Wigwam Camping!!!!

Let me start off by saying it was SOOOO FUN!!! and the facilities were fabulous. They had a huge kitchen free of charge to use including stoves, microwaves, sinks, all the dishes, pots, pans, cutlery, etc you could ever need, as well as a pool table and a big kitchen table and chairs you could sit at. The bathrooms and shower block were great and was filled with individual shower rooms with a toilet, sink, vanity, shower, etc all in one so you didnt have to go into prison style shower blocks. lol. The wigwam was much bigger than the last pod we stayed in and it had lights. It had 4 beds along the walls and a coffee table, it had a counter on one side with a mini fridge, heater, and 2 extra sockets. The fridge, heater, and 2 sockets were all controlled by one coin box, and we put in one pound coin and it kept the heater going all night long, and at one point it even got TOO WARM!!! when we woke up it was half raining and half snowing and freezing. lol. Danny
decided he didnt want to have breakfast in the restraunt so i went by myself and had Texas Eggs Benedict which was basically eggs bennedict minus the meat. It was pretty darn good and came with orange juice for £3.75. lol, it was really good though. We had the barbecue hut last night and we spent a couple hours in there barbecueing some fresh steaks from the farm it is located on, chicken, and hot dogs. We then just chilled in the wigwam, they were each named after famous american people, places, and battles. We stayed in number 1 which was called the Alamo. lol. anyways, onto some pictures.

Incredible Store About a Dude

So my mom called me the other day and told me this bit of gossip. There was this guy who went to one of our competitor schools and was one of the best guys on the basketball team. In grade 11 he got his girlfriend pregnant and was banned from the team as a punishment. This was a Christian school so they were within their rights to kick him off the team, but for some reason in grade 12 they let him play and he got a full ride scholarship to university for basketball. When he graduated he couldnt find a job that paid enough to support his girlfriend and baby. So he started playing online poker and my mom said there was just a story about him in the paper, apparently he got mega rich off of online poker and now plays proffessionally. He and his girlfriend, whos now his wife have just bought a huge million dollar house in White Rock and have 4 kids. How amazing is that?? I wish i could get that kinda money off something like online poker, but i'm really not that skilled/lucky. lol. I think i might have a go though, if i had the money i'd probably go here best online casino to find a good casino to play at. I must admit, while i'm not the best at poker, i'm pretty alright at roulette. lol. i know i know, game of luck, but i tend to at least get the number right on a few times. This site has fabulous reviews of all the different sites from poker rooms to bingo, and if i had the chance and the disposable income to have a little go i'd definitly go there first to find a good casino that wouldn't totally rip me off. I LOVE bingo though, so that will probably come in super handy as its really easy to navigate and i love to find new bingo sites. Nothing like bingo to pass some time and even though i rarely win, its something i can spend a couple hours doing for not so much money. I just have a feeling this site will come in handy for me in the future. Who knows, but at least i have somewhere informative to go if i want to find out more about the whole thing, and who knows, maybe i'll be the next online poker millionaire, lol. Wish me luck!

Pot-A-Doodle-Doo!

We're going to Pot-A-Doodle-Doo wigwam village for a night tomorrow, just to relax. We've been to a wigwam/camping pod before and loved it, but this one has electricity, heat, and a bunch of activities so we decided to try this place this time! For those of you wondering what the heck i'm talkin about, here is a picture of what we're staying in.

I dont know why that picture wont line up, but thats what the inside looks like. They also are combined with a farm that makes fresh food, meat, etc... So we're buying some fresh steaks and we booked their Finnish Barbecue Hut.

This is the barbecue hut and we have it for all of wednesday evening. I'm looking so forward to this. These wigwam holidays are perfect for us because they're good for just one night, theyre very inexpensive, and we can bring our dog so we dont have to worry about him. I'm very excited about this one night away because i'm really stressed out about university and getting the house up for sale that i just need to unwind. Mortgages, Homes, and having your own space

So its coming up on that time again. In October our fixed rate Mortgage will be up. We've been approached by a lot of mortgage lenders recently trying to get us to go with them. Little do they know we will be moving to Canada and are currently trying to sell the house. This is a bit difficult since it seems that with this depression the world seems to be falling into that people are having trouble getting a Mortgage I dont know about you, but when i see the word Mortgage i cringe inside because i find it so confusing and such a stressful thing to go through. At the end though, its all worth it if you love your house, and are finally on that housing ladder. lol. I know its rough at times but theres nothing better than knowing that you own your own place. I love the fact that i have a place for me and my family to call our own, somewhere where we can be ourselves and have the privacy we need although i am glad to be going to Canada and getting a bigger better house to live in than our little apartment.

First of all, might i say, i am IN LOVE with Miriam Lima's new kit, Garden Party. Its super cute, in great springy colours and so usable. Heres a layout i made with the kit.

Its made entirely with Garden Party except for the gems, which are from Miriam's Rainbow Gems set.

Next, i created some beautiful birdie brushes. I think they're super cute!!!

So, with this economy slowdown of late, everyones belts are getting a little tighter, and who couldnt use a little extra money coming in. Some ladies at digi shop talk directed me over to PayPerPost. This place looks great! It’s super easy to use, just make sure your blog meets their criteria and then voila, a whole marketplace of things you can choose to write about. What i like best about this blog pay posting site is that you get to choose what to blog about, and they each have a dollar value associated with them. I like that you browse and choose things you own/know about to write about and you dont have to try and write about things you have no clue about. Everyone seems very friendly and their customer service is top notch (i know this because i regularly get confused and have to get help, lol) and even better is they actually get back to you when you put in a support ticket. I had previously applied at other pay blog things and they just never even sent me any kind of notice even of whether my blog was approved or not, so I’m assuming it wasn’t. That doesn’t bother me now because I think PayPerPost is going to be much better for my needs and i think i'm going to have a really good time with this. I'm hoping to make some extra money to help get this house ready to sell, and for our holiday to ibiza this summer, so wish me luck!!

Since i got this bamboo fun tablet i've been having tons of fun in my programs playing around and its soooooo much better than my cheap one i had before. My old one used to cut out all the time, lost its connection with the pen all the time, and just generally didnt do a good job. This one is great, i'm even learning to use it as a mouse. So with that said, these came out of an experiment with the new tablet and i love them. They look super cute on layouts and theyre really easy to use. Comes in both .png and .abr format :)

So today the hubby and i were going to go see the Other Boleyn Girl. he decided he needed some new ram for his computer so we stopped there first. He decided to get me some too, but found it would be cheaper to buy it online, so we didnt actually get me anything. Then we went for lunch and during lunch he asked me if we could just go home so he could play with his new ram and go see the movie later this week. i said no because i didnt have anything new to play with so i wanted to go see my movie. lol. He then decided to bribe me, so besides going to see the movie this week he also bought me a bamboo fun tablet so i'd have something to play with this afternoon! and i am in love! it came with artrage 2 and pse and lots of discounts on other software. It works like a dream and i'm super happy. Plus i still get to see my movie, so its a win win situation! yay!!!

When the Husband is away....

So today the husband has gone away for a conference and wont be home till Friday night! I get to make all the foods i like best for dinner, i'm making Rachael Ray inside out Bacon Cheeseburgers, Spinach and 3 cheese paninis and mexican refried bean/cheese/lettuce/tomato/sour cream roll ups. YUM. Plus at night i get to take up the whole bed and not have my husband stealing the covers. lol. But i'm sure by Friday i'll miss him and look forward to when he gets home. Then on the weekend we're going to see the Other Boleyn Girl, which i'm looking really forward to! I'm still sick with a really bad cough, i can barely leave the house because i get into such coughing fits that its really not easy so i'm working from home on my university work. I'm also getting near to finishing that collab with Flergs that i mentioned so that will be out soon! I just started a new book and its absolutely hilarious. The Secret Life of a Slummy Mummy by Fiona Neill is just a great read. Its written well and any book where the first things talked about are a husband drinking his wifes contact lenses in the middle of the night, finding a half eaten cream egg thats been there so long its petrified, and coming nose to nose with a 1 inch long lightsabre that vanished when her toddler mounted a covert operation in his brother's bedroom and that never actually refers to the husband by name, just as "Husband on a short fuse" is fine by me. Its really great and i suggest it to anyone looking for a good funny read. So thats all for now, ta ta.

Its been one heck of a week. I guess everyone has these types of weeks but i have been sick as a dog! I've had symptoms lasting a couple days each constantly for over a week now. Last Monday, very suddenly i had such a bad cold come on. I've gone through 4 rolls of toilet paper blowing my nose... Now i've not got the sore throat anymore, and my nose isnt running AS MUCH, but i've got a terrible cough and a bit of a headache. Anyways, this has hampered my designing a little, BUT i do have a treat for all of you. Coming soon to both Polka Dot Potato and Scrapbook Graphics, Sugar and Spice by me and Flergs!!! Its in gorgeous pinks, greens, peaches, yellows, blues, and a nice charcoal black colour and kinda shabby, kinda springy, and it definitly has both very me style elements and papers and some of that oh so flergs glitter and sparkle! How cool is that?? I think its pretty awesome, Flergs knocks my socks off and i'm so excited to be working with her. So look forward to that soon, AND my great friend is joining me at Polka Dot Potato!!!! Look out soon for an announcement of just who that might be!!!!!! Are you good with laying out things in an eye-pleasing way? Do you have good drop-shadow skills? Well this might be for you!
I'm looking for someone to make my previews and new product ads for me as I just don't have the time. I'm working on my dissertation for university and getting our house ready to be put on the market and that leaves little time for designing and a lot of that time is taken up with previews and ads and uploading and the like.

Requirements:

- For full kits I require one full kit preview and one papers only preview using my layered .psd preview template, one details preview using my details template, and one 600x600 advertisement for the kit that i can use to post my ads :)
- For paper packs i just need the one papers only preview, one details preview using my details template, and one 600x600 advertisement.

- Once the previews are done a layered .psd would be zipped up and sent to me, and a 500x500 .jpg, would be emailed to me and my description girlie Jaime.
- Details preview only needs to be in a .jpg form saved at 600x600px.

- I am looking for someone who can showcase my kits to their full potential and who can use realistic dropshadows.

I usually release about 2-3 kits per month, but probably less while i'm working on my dissertation. You would be considered part of the Creative Team but not have any layout requirements. You will receive everything i create in return for your services.

So... its day 7 of this horrible hacking chesty cough. It seems to be *knock on wood* starting to lighten up just a touch, at least enough for me to get on with my preparations this week for going back to canada. I really hope that it will clear up by saturday because i really dont fancy an eleven hour flight with a hacking cough... please send prayers and good healing thoughts my way please! So tomorrow i start preparations (that i should have started a week ago if this cough hadnt knocked me into bed for a week) including cleaning out the hall closet, bathroom, kitchen, and bedroom. I have the hubby doing the one other room in our apartment since he made it such a mess in the first place! On monday i'm planning to do the kitchen, on tuesday i'm going to do the bathroom and go to the girls' christmas dinner out at the pub. On wednesday i'm going to do the front hall closet and start on the bedroom, on thursday i'm going to finish the bedroom and on friday i'm going to make last minute fixes, pack our bags, and generally get ready for the trip. I also need to call and confirm the time the taxi is coming to get us and Scruffy goes to the kennel on thursday. I'm going to miss him terribly, I am rather upset about leaving him but he cant come with us for only a 2 week vacation. Sorry for making this post one long to-do list, lol. At least i'll remember hopefully what i need to do now! On the scrapping front, i havent really been around the past week, since i've been sick. I've had maybe 5-10 minutes of computer time a day until today and from those 10 minute intervals i've gotten a very bad feeling about the community of late. I've decided to not put out any of my new products i had in line to go onto my store shelves until january. I hope a nice break away from everything with family will put the community into a better mood, it all just seems so pointless at the moment. Anyways, heres to me getting better and the community getting nicer again.

So i decided today was the day, with us moving to Canada next year we need to get this house on the market, and to do that it has to be really clean and we have to repaint. But to do anything to the house we need to clean it out, especially since we cant really take a lot with us to canada. Today i started to go through my clothes looking for anything really old, that doesnt fit, that doesnt look right, etc. I have a black garbage bag full of clothes that are old or dont fit right to give to charity. And yes, it feels good to give to charity BUT i feel like i've lost part of my soul and cant stop asking myself "what if i want to wear this and i've given it away?" I'm sure all packrats can sympathize with me here, but i suppose its all for the best. I'm saying goodbye to my trusted old clothes, at least i'll have less laundry to do!

And... I decided to do some more work on those buckets, i felt they werent nearly pretty enough. So i grabbed my new papercutter, which has a wavy blade you can use and created little bags for each type of chocolate bar in different halloween coloured papers, and then used the cutter to cut strips from the same colours of paper as a bit of a confetti-ish stuff to tuck in around the bags, and then i tied little bits of raffia in colours matching the little paper bags to the handles. Here is how they turned out!

Pumpkin Candy Buckets!

So yesterday we found out my husband's niece and nephew (i guess that also makes them my niece and nephew, lol, i'm so not used to that!) would be coming to trick or treat at our house. Yes we had bought some candy, but it was really for us since no one comes to our house. AT ALL! lol, so we went out and bought them each one of those big bags of treat size chocolate bars and i got a couple pumpkin buckets and pulled out my craft stuff. What came out was these adorable pumpkin candy buckets.

I put the candy in the buckets, 1 bag of 25 per bucket, and i cut some pumpkins out of orange paper and put a hole near the stem. I then stamped their names in bronze with see-d alphabet stamps and went over them in red glitter glue. I let them dry and then tied the tags to the handles of the buckets with red raffia in a nice little bow. I love them and i hope they do too, but they are kids, so they'll probably just see the candy! lol.

In the Autumn Spirit!

Heya there,
lately its been rather cold, the leaves have been falling and its been windy and has distinctly felt like fall out. I've also gotten into a Tart Burning habit, yankee candle wax tarts that is. I went out and i wanted to get all the fall scents but the fall ones hadnt all come in yet, so i just got some normal scents, some christmas ones they had already come in, and the few autumn scents they had in. In all i got:

2 christmas cookie (gosh that smells sooooooc good, lol)
2 autumn leaves

brown sugar and spice
pomegranate cider
mandarin cranberry

cottage breeze
willow breeze
fresh linens

I was only going to get a couple but my hubby suprised me and gave a bunch of ones i had looked at to the cashier lady when i wasnt looking :) I think my favourite is Christmas Cookie, yes i know it isnt christmas but i burnt it anyways and it smells AMAZING!! totally calorie free alternative to baking actual cookies. Some i'm looking forward to getting are Harvest, Farmhouse Apple, Frosted Pumpkin, Shortbread Cookie, and all the halloween scents including Boo-Nilla as well as i really want a cute halloween tart burner, although i dont forsee us having the extra cash to splash out on a burner. lol. I just got the one i have from my mother in law, when she came back from greece she brought it, its actually an oil burner but i wasnt a fan of the scent of the oil that came with it so i thought it might work well with tarts and it works perfectly. Didnt hurt that like two christmases ago she gave us about 200 unscented tealights, i dont forsee us running out of them any time soon. lol. So along with my tarts, i have been totally getting into the autumn mood, i've gotten out my wool sweaters and wool coat, scarves, and gloves (which i've actually needed a couple times already) and i created this little Sampler for you guys :) I also have an autumn paper pack coming out soon which i'll preview for you guys below! I also made a glitter cardstock pack, which includes 5 colours each in 3 different glitter styles.

Seriously,
some people just do not give a crap about the mayhem their stupid awful children are causing. Awhile back the kids were throwing hard mud balls at the window, causing us some major distress, mainly in the startling us out of our heads and scaring our dog to death form, then they turned to rocks and broke one of our windows, all along we never knew which kids it was (probably all of them the little monsters in this neighborhood) and we reported it to the police but they cant do anything (theyre rather useless here) and now today i go to take the dog out and theres this red juicy goo on the side window, i cant figure out what it is, so when i go out with the dog i walk around the house, and there are these big juicy gooey splatters all over the side of the house, on the back window, all over the fence, the lamppost, and the kicker, one right next to my front door. I look around and finally see what theyre throwing. theyre throwing BLUEBERRIES!!! who the heck throws BLUEBERRIES at someones house???????? i'm ready to go mad, this house will be worth nothing when we try to sell, in about a year. We regret moving here more than anything we've ever regretted before. life is miserable with these little brats everywhere, especially since theyre off for summer break now theyre ALWAYS doing something. I caught them trying ot kick down our gate today to get their ball out of our yard, they never came to the door and asked, just immdiately tried to kick it down. I went and told them they could hop the fence to get it back and *miraculously* the ball never went over the fence again... lol. that just proves their doing it to cause trouble and it really sucks that they'll never be punished for it and their parents dont give a friggin flying rats banana about it at all. i'm ready to scream. thanks for letting me vent, sometimes you just need to let off steam.

How bout a contest???? So i'm gonna give away my store. I'm gonna extend the deadline because i didn't blog about it before so i'm gonna extend the deadline to MONDAY JULY 16 AT MIDNIGHT PST. All you have to do is create a layout using my products and link it up either in my thread at dst or in the comments section of this post. My dog will then pick his favourite (he's very smart you know) and that person will win my ENTIRE SCRAP2BASICS store. That is 43 different products! So, what do you guys think of my new blog? I really like the more minimalist white with splashes of colour throughout... I was inspired by Shabby Princess' clean blog style and I felt the need for a change. I'm also kaboodling lately... The Search For Brian the Lion!

Well its been awhile since i blogged. I got the flu and didn't really feel much like blogging. lol. I'm not quite over it yet but i'm more or less back to normal activities, a little slower, but normal. Anyways, our baby (dog)'s grandmother bought him a stuffed lion. This lion has a real mane and tail made of wool bits, and a squeaker in his head, and his legs and arms are made of rope with a big knot at the end of each. Imagine how much joy this little lion brings to Scruffy. We've decided it can be his special occasion friend, since he has the tendency to tear things apart right away and we want to have something as a nice treat. So we put Brian the Lion onto the top shelf of the linen closet and Scruff definitly knows he's there. He can now open the linen closet door and tries to get brian out. Well Brian seemed to be laying on top of our clean sheets so when i changed the sheets Scruffy was insistent that Brian was within the sheets on the bed and did a thourough search to no avail. I have a lot of pictures but i scrapped 4 of them in this layout. Hope you all enjoy it :)

I decided to take some pictures of Scruffy, snapping a lot and hoping for a diamond in the rough and i got one that is sooooo cute. I just HAD to share it with you guys! First is my favourite then a couple cute ones :) Scruffy is the best model, he LOVES to have his picture taken so i have a great source there, especially since my husband wont let me take many pictures of him at all... :( lol. maybe thats understandable, i only recently started taking more pictures of myself, i read somewhere that the people who care already know what you look like and your depriving them of memories of you if you dont let anyone take your picture, so on that philosophy i'm taking more pictures of myself!

Then i decided to give scruffy a bath... I was inspired by JennieB75's layout about bathing her dog and i got some great pictures...

Pretty good for a point and shoot if i do say so myself.

So i finally got to get my hair cut!!! wooo hooo. It had been nearly a year and a half and my hair was nearly down to my butt and i was SICK OF IT!!! lol. I went this morning to the cutting corner and got it chopped off... And i LOVE it. it looks great! and its so light and airy and my neck isnt hurting anymore. yeay! heres a picture and later i'll come back and update with the layout i'm about to do!

i've decided to share some of my recent layouts with you all. I have been very discouraged lately as I have been rejected from 3 creative team calls in the past week. I don't think i'm that bad at layouts, i'm a lot better than I used to be, and I really like my layouts... That's all that matters right? Still it hurts to be rejected EVERY TIME! i dont know if i'll apply to anymore calls. I apply to those that fit my style but I guess if i keep trying eventually i'll get a spot that i really like. Well, tonight my dh is going with his dad to a friendly poker night and i'm going with dh's mom to bingo. Wish me luck in winning some money! Anyways onto the layouts.

Gina Miller Style

so after getting thouroughly engrossed in Gina Miller's blog when i should have been cleaning I saw how she put her to do list on her blog. I thought that was a fabulous idea so i decided to do that myself... hopefully make me more likely to finish it.

1. Go to store and get some food for dinner for the next couple days as well as a storage bin for our clothes and washing machine powder. *DONE* I decided to brave the rain without an umbrella or a car and walk to the store with the dog. Worst mistake i EVER made! I came back soaked, he came back a black dog and was previously white... I had to bath him before i could even put away the groceries. Plus you try handling a very pull-y dog and a shopping cart all the way home... it is not an easy task.

2. Finish ironing all the dry clothes and put them away. *DONE*

3. Do all the dishes and tidy up the kitchen. *DONE*

4. Put the last load of laundry in the machine. *DONE*

so... after over 15 hours of no internet due to help desk incompetance i am back and running. I was one day behind on releasing this wednesday's new releases. So i apologize for that and promise next week's will be on time. For today i have a sneak peek for you guys! I hope this entices you. I created 4 new products yesterday when i had no internet. Who knows if i'll create more by next wednesday but for now here is a sneak peek of what will be coming out!

New Release Wednesday coming up! TEN new products!

So at Scrap2Basics we decided to start debuting new releases once a week on Wednesdays after hearing from customers they preferred one day so they could come see all the new stuff. And for our first official new release Wednesday we have a huge amount of stuff. I personally have 10 products coming out at Scrap2Basics, some available nowhere else including the pieces in the sneak peek i posted last time i blogged and some that is in one other store or so but new to Scrap2Basics. After a long talk amongst the owners we decided to change Scrap2Basics to a a boutique style. We will just have a shop and an open gallery. The only forum left will be site announcements. We're not sad about the changes because we know Scrap2basics is regenerating, with a new site design (hopefully, lol), new products, and a NEW DESIGNER! yes, we have a new designer joining us. The incredibly talented Julie Bullock will be debuting her fabulous products on June 1st! We're very excited to have her joining us, and look for her items on June 1st! I assure you you wont be sorry if You go check out some of the stuff she's done for the mini kit swap crop at SBB in HER SBB GALLERY! Don't forget, our new weekly new releases will be accompanied by a fun newsletter sent through the store. So head over to the store and register to get the newsletter, you'll want to check the "html" box so you can see all the pictures! Also you can go and register for the occasional freebie/coupon/special promotions/contests newsletter by going here. The store newsletter will go out once a week and the other one will be sporadic, so no need to worry about being bombarded with newsletters. I hope you guys are all as excited as I am about the new changes and NEW PRODUCTS that are coming out.

A nice little Sneaky Peeky and A Fabulous Suprise

Sooo.... I've been sick. So sick in fact that we couldn't go to our family barbecue to say goodbye to my husband's cousin who is emigrating to Australia... fortunately I didn't feel that bad about missing it because it was on NSD. lol. Despite that, i did NO shopping. I simply can't afford to spend money. I think that paid off because just now my husband let the cat out of the bag... He's booked us a luxury hotel for Wednesday night, and he's taking me back to Oxford. He proposed to me in Oxford, how sweet is it that he's taking me back? I'm so excited!!! I'm also excited about my new products i finished.... All are going into my stores shortly at PDW, Oaks, S2B, and Divine. Just a sneaky peek of the new Funkilicious collection (papers, elements, and an alpha, the alpha is included with the elements as well as separately) and a preview of my Glitterific Swirls. All will be up soon.

and ooooooh guess what! I saw these today and i'm totally taken by them. Theyre by Kiki Scraps designs at 3scrapateers. Her stuff is awesome and you should totally check it out.

My dog has recently taken up a new thing, sleeping on pillows, and now i can not help but see him sleeping on them all the time. lol.

The one sad thing happening at the moment is i just found out Gilmore Girls is being cancelled. I cant believe there will only ever be 2 more episodes. I'm addicted to that show, and i seriously cried when i found out. I think thats about it for now but i will be back later to tell you more about my ever so exciting (NOT!) life.

My husband's birthday is on May 14th. Its really coming up and i ordered some presents for my husband. Yesterday one of them came, sort of, i didnt hear the door at first but i looked out the window and saw the woman, she was still on the doorstep, so i ran downstairs to the door, and she was about 10 feet away from the door, halfway to her van, and i shouted out "Excuse Me!" and waved my arms about, she ignored me, so i thought, okay maybe she didnt hear me, then she turned around, got in her van, looked straight at me, waving my arms and shouting, shuts the door, puts the van in reverse, and drives off. i called the post office and put a complaint in. is it just me or was that totally out of order? I couldnt even imagine doing that if i were her. How hard is it to walk back 10 feet and give me the parcel??? arrrrrrrgh. the earliest they could
redeliver is saturday too. ugh. That made me really mad, now i have a complaint reference number. On the other hand, today the other one came, and i've wrapped it up and made a cute birthday card the traditional paper craft way. I'm nervous as anything today as today is the day i find out if i was picked for a special honor, as well as the day that i found out if i made the Sweet Shoppe ct, which i really really want. I just had to drop off of my other cts due to university committments but i've wanted Sweet Shoppe for so long, and i probably dont have a rats chance in heck of getting it, so i thought why not apply anyways. Wish me good luck. I'm gonna show you guys some of my most recent layouts and i'm actually very proud of them. I've really been trying to be a "messier" scrapper . Less neat and tidy, trying to layer embellishments, and actually use them. lol. You can check out all the credits in my DST Gallery
