In the Autumn Spirit!
Heya there,
lately its been rather cold, the leaves have been falling and its been windy and has distinctly felt like fall out. I've also gotten into a Tart Burning habit, yankee candle wax tarts that is. I went out and i wanted to get all the fall scents but the fall ones hadnt all come in yet, so i just got some normal scents, some christmas ones they had already come in, and the few autumn scents they had in. In all i got:

2 granny smith apple
2 christmas cookie (gosh that smells sooooooc good, lol)
2 autumn leaves
misseltoe
hollyberry
brown sugar and spice
pomegranate cider
mandarin cranberry
autumn wreath
cottage breeze
willow breeze
fresh linens

I was only going to get a couple but my hubby suprised me and gave a bunch of ones i had looked at to the cashier lady when i wasnt looking :) I think my favourite is Christmas Cookie, yes i know it isnt christmas but i burnt it anyways and it smells AMAZING!! totally calorie free alternative to baking actual cookies. Some i'm looking forward to getting are Harvest, Farmhouse Apple, Frosted Pumpkin, Shortbread Cookie, and all the halloween scents including Boo-Nilla as well as i really want a cute halloween tart burner, although i dont forsee us having the extra cash to splash out on a burner. lol. I just got the one i have from my mother in law, when she came back from greece she brought it, its actually an oil burner but i wasnt a fan of the scent of the oil that came with it so i thought it might work well with tarts and it works perfectly. Didnt hurt that like two christmases ago she gave us about 200 unscented tealights, i dont forsee us running out of them any time soon. lol. So along with my tarts, i have been totally getting into the autumn mood, i've gotten out my wool sweaters and wool coat, scarves, and gloves (which i've actually needed a couple times already) and i created this little Sampler for you guys :) I also have an autumn paper pack coming out soon which i'll preview for you guys below! I also made a glitter cardstock pack, which includes 5 colours each in 3 different glitter styles.

Here are the paper packs --

And heres your Sampler (Its been moved to the sidebar sampler section):

So i saw this ebay auction through dst and this woman is such a witty writer. I laughed and laughed all the way through then by chance in the comments she listed her blog, of course i went over and i havent stopped reading yet, it all sounds hilarious from the outside, but i certainly wouldnt want to be living her life, at least i dont think i would. 6 kids??? i can barely handle my one toddler-esque dog! anyways, if you want to read for yourself you can head over to her blog HERE!

oh yeah and i'm thinkin of creatin a sampler for you guys in the near future :D

SOME PEOPLES KIDS!!!!
Seriously,
some people just do not give a crap about the mayhem their stupid awful children are causing. Awhile back the kids were throwing hard mud balls at the window, causing us some major distress, mainly in the startling us out of our heads and scaring our dog to death form, then they turned to rocks and broke one of our windows, all along we never knew which kids it was (probably all of them the little monsters in this neighborhood) and we reported it to the police but they cant do anything (theyre rather useless here) and now today i go to take the dog out and theres this red juicy goo on the side window, i cant figure out what it is, so when i go out with the dog i walk around the house, and there are these big juicy gooey splatters all over the side of the house, on the back window, all over the fence, the lamppost, and the kicker, one right next to my front door. I look around and finally see what theyre throwing. theyre throwing BLUEBERRIES!!! who the heck throws BLUEBERRIES at someones house???????? i'm ready to go mad, this house will be worth nothing when we try to sell, in about a year. We regret moving here more than anything we've ever regretted before. life is miserable with these little brats everywhere, especially since theyre off for summer break now theyre ALWAYS doing something. I caught them trying ot kick down our gate today to get their ball out of our yard, they never came to the door and asked, just immdiately tried to kick it down. I went and told them they could hop the fence to get it back and *miraculously* the ball never went over the fence again... lol. that just proves their doing it to cause trouble and it really sucks that they'll never be punished for it and their parents dont give a friggin flying rats banana about it at all. i'm ready to scream. thanks for letting me vent, sometimes you just need to let off steam.

I was taking some pictures...
I decided to take some pictures of Scruffy, snapping a lot and hoping for a diamond in the rough and i got one that is sooooo cute. I just HAD to share it with you guys! First is my favourite then a couple cute ones :) Scruffy is the best model, he LOVES to have his picture taken so i have a great source there, especially since my husband wont let me take many pictures of him at all... :( lol. maybe thats understandable, i only recently started taking more pictures of myself, i read somewhere that the people who care already know what you look like and your depriving them of memories of you if you dont let anyone take your picture, so on that philosophy i'm taking more pictures of myself!

Then i decided to give scruffy a bath... I was inspired by JennieB75's layout about bathing her dog and i got some great pictures...

Pretty good for a point and shoot if i do say so myself.

Birthdays are fun aren't they?
My husband's birthday is on May 14th. Its really coming up and i ordered some presents for my husband. Yesterday one of them came, sort of, i didnt hear the door at first but i looked out the window and saw the woman, she was still on the doorstep, so i ran downstairs to the door, and she was about 10 feet away from the door, halfway to her van, and i shouted out "Excuse Me!" and waved my arms about, she ignored me, so i thought, okay maybe she didnt hear me, then she turned around, got in her van, looked straight at me, waving my arms and shouting, shuts the door, puts the van in reverse, and drives off. i called the post office and put a complaint in. is it just me or was that totally out of order? I couldnt even imagine doing that if i were her. How hard is it to walk back 10 feet and give me the parcel??? arrrrrrrgh. the earliest they could
redeliver is saturday too. ugh. That made me really mad, now i have a complaint reference number. On the other hand, today the other one came, and i've wrapped it up and made a cute birthday card the traditional paper craft way. I'm nervous as anything today as today is the day i find out if i was picked for a special honor, as well as the day that i found out if i made the Sweet Shoppe ct, which i really really want. I just had to drop off of my other cts due to university committments but i've wanted Sweet Shoppe for so long, and i probably dont have a rats chance in heck of getting it, so i thought why not apply anyways. Wish me good luck. I'm gonna show you guys some of my most recent layouts and i'm actually very proud of them. I've really been trying to be a "messier" scrapper . Less neat and tidy, trying to layer embellishments, and actually use them. lol. You can check out all the credits in my DST Gallery

mmm.... Cookies.
Yum, i LOVE cookies. Right now i really wish i had a cookie. lol. I LOVE chocolate chip cookies, you know, the old fashioned kind. I bake them and I'm not exagerating, but my chocolate chip cookies are the greatest. lol. no i'm not arrogant, lol. This is based on other people's opinions. lol. Theyre soft and chewy and warm and when you break them in half the melty chocolate chips pull apart beautifully, you know like in a commercial. lol. mmm cookies. now i'm hungry, bad move when i'm going grocery shopping soon. yikes. lol. I might have a new freebie for you later... i'm not really sure, but maybe, so why don't you subscribe to my blog, i plan to have a few more freebies in the next little while... you dont want to miss them :D

Okay, so i havent blogged in awhile but now i'm back and better than ever
So... today i made the layout of my lifetime. I swear i never knew i was this creative and i always envied those really fabulous layouts. I never went out for ct's cuz i didnt think i was good enough but today, after this layout i feel i can compete with some of the fabulous gals out there. Because i'n so proud of this layout i thought i'd show it to you all.

My dog is so sweet and such a good little model. He loves to pose for pictures and therefore i have a LOT of pictures.

On another sub-topic of scrapping, i have just put out a new product at my BRAND NEW STORE at divine digital. My Layered Torn Edge Paper and Photo Shape Templates are an easy way to get that torn edge look on your papers and photos. The pack even comes with the paper used in the example! how cool is that? Another special for you guys, you can also get 30% off all my stuff at divine digital until the 21st of March by using the code BrandNew. Remember to go to your cart and put the code in BEFORE you check out. I'm so excited about this new store and I cant stop telling people! lol.

On a completely unrelated topic, it SNOWED today. I'm serious, its the 19th of March... and it was SNOWING! on and off, and never stuck, but it snowed. I am a snow queen, i love snow, i cant get enough, and it doesnt really snow wherever i live until I move away. As soon as i move it starts snowing loads where i USED to live. Annoys the heck out of me.

Wireless Routers... New Stereos... Technologically Impaired In Laws... You Get The Picture
So here i am, sneaking a minute to blog about how i just installed a wireless router for my technologically impaired in laws while my husband is downstairs hooking up the new surround sound system of his dreams (including massive tv) that he priced up, and is now installing for them and feeling extremely jealous. Lol. so i dont have a lot of time, but let me say this... Technology and Parents dont mix!!! And them asking us to price up the best system they can get with a hubby being a technology freak is a bad idea. its just made him want everything more and now he wont shut up about how his tv isnt as good, well ours is just fine. lol. i'll be back to blog later. ta ta peeps! ooh yeah, check out the downloads section in the gallery at scrap2basics, its only got a couple in now but there will be more, and one of my older kits is up there for free, it was one of my best sellers at DF when i was there. :D enjoy!

random nothings
so todays blog prompt is.... "Write for at least five minutes any words that come into your head. Forget punctuation, spelling, syntax, even meaning. If you get stuck, keep writing the last word you wrote until a new one comes."(thanks to digitalscrapbookplace for the prompt), and here goes.

why is bart simpson on the poster above my computer 3 times? it totally doesnt make sense, and seriously who is that baby with the freaky unibrow? aol sucks. i cant believe they have these crap ads on tv, 14.99 a month? youve got to be kidding me i use their cds as coasters. OMG i hate these daft energy helpline commercials, how on earth can that 40 year old woman pretend to be a little girl, she's 40 for goodness sakes. I should start a new kit but i'm at a loss totally at a loss. why is there a green elf in the poster? maybe that green would be good for a kit... hmmm. it looks like the gren on scruffys overalls. i love home improvement, its such a great show. i want a crown. i want a tiara. i want to be a princess. i wonder if my dinner will be ready soon? i need a diet coke buzz. i should really tidy this room. i need sugar, thats it, i need suagr. "hockey puck rattlesnake monkey monkey underpants" gosh i love gilmore girls, its sucha great show and alexis bledel is so pretty gosh i wish i was her i love her hair colour i wish my hair was that dark brown. how great would it be to be a tv star i'd love to be an actress. dang stage fright i'd so love to be on a tv show i wanna be on gilmore girls i wish i had more paper crafting stuff. oooh i wanna string popcorn and cranberries. that sounds fun.

Do you ever have days like this?
Okay, so today i am feeling just like this --> Looking In Mirror
I am feeling very much like that today. Like everything is kinda crazy, i'm very cold since our boiler hasnt been fixed yet and we've had no hot water or heat since friday... and i dont want to look in a mirror for fear of what i'd see. lol. I think i may just hide behind my computer today and give myself some time to actually SCRAP A PAGE!!! i haevnt done that in awhile, designing has taken up so much of my time lately wiht my new collection. And oooh i noticed people talking in the dst chatter forum about wanting plain cardstock, so to go along with my collection i spent the morning creating a pack of 29 sheets of solid cardstock in all the main colours of the 4 kits in the collection plus black and white. And i revamped my business card. I'll put previews of my latest kits for my collections, plus the cardstock, and my new business card so you can all have a look

Its Finally Happened!
okay,
so my dog scruffy is a doggy garbage disposal, he eat anything, vegetables, meat, he loves mexican food, and he'll even (when we dont notice) get into the garbage and eat 2 day old spaghetti, or 3 day old shrimp alfredo, he literally eats ANYTHING. well today my husband was making dinner. and he dropped a green bean. Scruffy wont touch it, he bit it, then spit it out. I nearly fainted. My dog hates green beans. I'm still in shock. Whats the craziest thing your pet ever ate? what wont they eat?

Feelin' Domestic
So i'm feeling very domestic today, i've cleaned the kitchen, done the dishes, and put a load of laundry in. Also tidied the bedroom, i dont know why i feel domestic, its very unusual, because i hate housework. The only problem is our little doggy, you see, he barks. A lot. All the time, and he has the strangest bark, it doesnt sound like a normal bark, it sounds like he's losing his voice, all the time, like it should hurt him to bark like that, but it doesnt, so it ends up shrill, high pitched, and even more annoying than a normal dog bark. Its very very irritating, and is giving me a constant headache. Might have to buy a muzzle. We tried tying his mouth shut with a sock, but it doesnt work, he just gets it off. The nanny and bewitched have been on this morning, i absolutely love those shows. Living in England i don't understand a lot of their humour, so when i find north american shows i latch onto them, no matter what they are. Home Improvement, Ellen, The Gina Davis Show, Hope and Faith, Rodney, Less than Perfect, The Nanny, Bewitched, King of the Hill, The Simpsons, and Dharma and Greg, Most of these i would never watch when i lived in Canada but here they're all i've got, so i sit and watch them. lol. Anyways, today is my first day back to University after christmas, and my worst, most boring class is today. Anyways, i should go and get dressed ready to go, and perhaps investigate that clinking coming from the washing machine, i wonder what metal thing ended up in there, probably a button on a pair of jeans or something. At least i hope so, oh the life of a domestic girl....

I shouldn't be here
Why is today one of those days where nothing in your life seems right, well okay, my husband seems right but the rest of it all seems so wrong. Like i'm living someone else's life. I don't know why its been like this today, but i'm questioning everything, i feel like i've made all the wrong choices in life. And i don't know what to do about it. I went into university, thouroghly dreading my class because i don't enjoy it at all. I know i made the wrong decision in what i took in university, i know for sure i did, but its too late to change now, my parents cant afford for me to start all over. I'm in my 2nd year of my history studies and it would be a huge hassle to transfer over to computer design, which is what i should have taken in the first place, i might as well just stick out the rest of this year and the year after and i'll be done. I know i don't enjoy it and i'm never as happy as when i'm creating stuff in photoshop. I should be gearing toward that since i love it so much and pushing myself towards a job where i can use photoshop in a job i'll enjoy for the rest of my life. But its too late to start over now, and i can't tell my family about this because i'll get lectured about thinking about what i want before i started all this. I'm also feeling like this is where i'm supposed to be in life either, I should be how i want to be. I shouldnt be afraid to go outside after dark, i shouldnt be afraid to talk to people in my classes, i shouldnt be afraid to live here. I shouldnt let the yobs around here frighten me into a fearful existance which i'm living at the moment. I should have a part time job and be happy at university. I should be happy in my life but i'm not. Thank God for the three things in my life that ARE DEFINITLY RIGHT. Thank God for my husband, my dog, and my digital scrapbooking and the friends that came along with it. I've never met a bunch of people more like me in my life and i can be myself around them. I never feel like i can be myself in real life in England. I don't fit in, i'm not like any of them. I'm not into partying, i'm not into clubbing, drinking, or going out all the time. It seems like no one wants to do anything that I would want to. Why can't people like wanna go bowling or to see a movie or something, something that doesn't involve getting plastered. I just don't feel like i can be myself around them either beacuse i'm not like that, and also when we can barely afford to feed ourselves how am i going to make friends by going out as my husband always says? It takes money to go for coffee, it takes money to go out on a night (which i don't even enjoy doing), it costs money to go to lunch with people. When i have no money it is really not fun to sit there with them at lunch with nothing to eat while everyone else is eating, or going out for a drink at the pub next to the library and sitting there while everyone else has a drink and i cant even afford a bottle of water. This is a sad thing to do, because no one wants to feel left out, and that does make me feel left out, so i turn down the offers because i dont want to feel that way. In turn that makes me not hang out and make any real friends, but its like this, it costs money to make friends, people will say it doesnt, but it does, like i said earlier, coffee, drinks, going out at night, all cost money that we just DO NOT have. It really makes it hard to make friends, i try to be friendly and chat to them in class and things but it just doesnt translate into real friendship that way. I dont know. My house is a tip too, its small, its disorganized. I cant get it organized because there is NO ROOM for our stuff. when its disorganized i cant invite people over or anything. That doesnt help either. I really wish i had someone who could help me organize it once and for all, someone who knows the best way to go about these things. I want my mom. She'd hire someone. lol. no, i just want her help. Or someone to hire someone for me. All this coupled with the constant homesickness i feel, how i feel trapped in England, away from my family makes for a very lonely sad existance. I just feel hopeless today, like i dont know how to fix it, like theres no point in trying. I couldnt even force myself to do more than make the bed this morning. It just all seemed like there was no point. I'll probably wake up tomorrow in a completely different mood, but this is how i feel now and i think that writing this all out for you guys to read might help. Maybe someone will have some suggestions. This is why i love having a blog, i may not be the most constant blogger, but i love how it gives me an outlet to get all my feelings out. I think i'm done now.

haha. american youth summed up.
i just saw this and i thought, how funny, that pretty much sums up the youth of any country these days. If its politics they dont wanna know. Its quite sad in a way that we're going to be running the world some day. I know that i have no interest in politics and i'm sure a lot of people my age are the same way. well heres what made me think all this...

Craziness...

I took an animal, mineral, vegetable quiz at gottapixel yesterday and i got this one wrong. If you look at it, it looks crazy like monkeys, but its a vegetable, i dont know why it looks like monkeys but i thought i'd share it.

I think its so crazy. Also, i saw this funny halloween comic as well and i found it funny so i also thought i'd share it.

I think i'll follow Scruffy's example and just sleep.
I'm gettin over a bout of the flu and i just feel incredibly tired and worn out. Scruffy is asleep on the bed, i think i'll do what he's doing. Well i would but i have dishes to wash and a room to tidy and the hallway could use a vaccuum...
I got my computer back yesterday. It broke last december and my husband never got around to taking it in to get fixed, he finally got his butt in gear and took it to the work techy guy yesterday and by the time he got home it was all fixed and had all my stuff installed on it ready to go... hmmmm..... maybe if he'd done that 10 months ago i never would have taken over his laptop. Well he can live and learn. Its quite fast, and he cant touch it. So i'm happy.
I'm still in shock about Steve Irwin. Such a sad thing, i really liked him. And he was so young. If i had any money i'd donate it to the charities being set up in his name, the discovery channel has set one up called the Crikey Fund as well as one being set up at his zoo. As soon as donation links are available i'll post them. I feel very strange, i wasnt old enough to feel it when princess diana died but i grew up watching Steve Irwin and it feels really horrible and i imagine this is what it felt like to the world when princess Diana died, although i'm not comparing them because they were completely different people. The only comparison was that they both died young in tragic circumstances. His wife and kids are releasing the video of him pulling the barb out of his chest because they say that it is what he would have wanted. I dont know if i'll watch it. Its hard to believe someone who spent their lives with dangerous animals and putting themselves in majorly dangerous situations with snakes and crocodiles would be killed in a freak accident. Stingray barbs are very rarely fatal. It doesnt seem fair. Anyways, my rant on that is over. Maybe it will make me feel a bit better. I hope to raise some money for the charity, maybe i'll make a kit to sell for it. I dont know. I hope i can do something because i don't feel right just sitting here doing nothing. i'm a bit lost at the moment with being ill, and everything else. lol. Here's to hoping i find a map.
